Description
Partagas is the most famous cigar factory in Havana. The enterprise was founded in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas. Since then, Partagas Cigars, produced here, have been bearing his name. Partagas was a passionate, enthusiastic fan of the cigar business, he owned large plantations in Vuelta Abajo and often traveled there himself to check whether the tobacco bushes were being properly maintained. He was not only a true fan of the cigar, but also a fan of beautiful women, the dark color of their skin reminded him of a beautiful cigar.
Today, the Partagas Factory in Havana produces the bulk of cigars for the domestic market.
