Description
In 1868, the owners of the Cuban brand Punch decided to release a new cigar to the UK market. In the mid-1940s, the word Punch disappeared. Macanudo is translated from Spanish as “excellent”. Even later, in 1968, the brand was acquired by the American company – General Cigar. From this moment, there began a new countdown in the history of Macanudo Cigars. The brand owners Edgar Kulman and Ramon Cifuentes, a former cigar master of the Partagas factory in Havana, made new mixes and in 1971 entered the American market. Macanudo Cigars are premium cigars and is by far the most popular and best-selling cigar brand in the United States.
